Over the past year I have had the privilege to work with the More Good Foundation in its amazing mission to do online missionary work. The foundation has recently launched a new website, LDS.net, with tools to help members to missionary work online. I invite you to participate in the site, and to help spread the word by sending an email such as this to your family and friends.
Brigham Young loved to gather the early saints together to dance, sing and socialize. LDS.net does exactly that—without the dancing and singing. It allows you to meet new people, hear their testimonies, and share your story. It is a gathering place for people all over the world to share their beliefs.
LDS.net is an easy way to follow the admonition of Elder Ballard to be an online missionary.* “Yours is the world of cyberspace, cell phones that capture video, video downloads … social networks … text messaging and blogs, hand-helds and podcasts. … How will you use these marvelous inventions? More to the point, how will you use them to further the work of the Lord?” He continued, “May I ask that you join the conversation [about the Church] by participating on the Internet … to share the gospel and to explain in simple and clear terms the message of the Restoration. … Most of you already know that if you have access to the Internet you can start a blog in minutes and begin sharing what you know to be true.”
At LDS.net, you can share your light and do online missionary work. Simply: (1) Join LDS.net for FREE, (2) Use LDS.net to share your testimony, stories, photos, videos, blogs, talks, and news, and (3) Forward this email to your friends, so they can also be online missionaries.
